Amanda Holdan’s family moved to Naperville, Illinois when she was five years old… which is when she began watching television. Her daily repertoire consisted of the normal kid stuff like Sesame Street, The Electric Company, and The Monkees. But she also watched yoga and began trying to do the postures along with the lady on TV.
When Anna Hughes first started studying yoga in college, it seemed a natural progression from the dance she had studied and adored for the first eighteen years of her life. But yoga opened a window that allowed her to integrate the physical with the spiritual. Anna believes that the physical body is the temple and vehicle to experience ourselves as spiritual beings.
Cara Jones teaches a dynamic form of Vinyasa Yoga that combines breath work, fluid movement, and fun music. Her public classes and one-on-one sessions reflect her experience of yoga as an invaluable tool to connect and align with deeper parts of oneself.
Christie Marshall is committed to a life of learning and sharing. She is filled with gratitude for the insight she has gained through her over thirteen years of practicing yoga. She originally started a regular yoga practice with the intention of creating more stability and balance in her body after her first foot surgery, and has since immersed herself in Ashtanga, Power Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga.
Estee Fletter discovered Hatha Yoga in 1999. Her practice began as a reminder to quiet the mind and simply be still. Over time, it transformed into a moving meditation of gratitude and devotion.
Estee completed her first 200 hours of teacher training with Bryan Kest of Santa Monica Power Yoga in 2005. During this training Estee fell in love with Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of love and devotion, while studying with Govindas Ira Rosen. She currently studies, practices, and teaches Bhakti Flow and has completed 300 hours of training with Rusty Wells.
Kerri Kelly was drawn to yoga in 1999 after a series of running and sports-related injuries. She quickly discovered the power of yoga, not only as a way to heal her body, but also as a spiritual tool to cultivate strength and grace in all aspects of her life.
Kerri has been teaching in the Bay Area ever since, and uses her classes to inspire others toward healing and transformation through yoga. Her teaching is known to be challenging and playful, as she guides her students on a journey of awakening potential and embodying purpose. She balances a dynamic physical practice with intelligent alignment instruction and motivational context. She inspires her students to take their yoga practice off the mat and into the world.
Through her years of yoga practice, Kim Sin has been able to cultivate a stable ground in this life that is inherently full of bumps. Through her own asana practice, she has learned to implement strength and flexibility in the way she breathes, thinks, acts, and loves.
MeiMei Fox teaches a Vinyasa Yoga class with juicy music and joy. She completed her yoga teacher training in 2008 with Ana Forrest. Other yoga influences include Rusty Wells, Janet Stone, Shiva Rea, Bryan Kest, and Les Leventhal. MeiMei has been practicing yoga for nearly a decade. She believes that yoga offers the perfect integration of mind, body, and spirit.
When Tom Lee started to practice yoga over ten years ago, he quickly realized that this ancient art and science is a lot more than just pretty poses and a healthy body. These things reel us in, but they are only the first steps toward a clearer mind and a more balanced way of being.
